Discord

Discord provides text, voice, and video spaces for friends, gaming groups, and wider communities. Participants can join ongoing conversations, stream their screen or activity, and personalize chats with emoji, stickers, and sound effects.

Its drop-in voice rooms and presence information help a group see who is available without arranging a separate call each time. Discord offers a browser entry and desktop downloads; membership and the permissions of a particular community determine which conversations a person can access.
