New York City Council

The New York City Council is the city's legislative body. Its official website connects visitors with council members, districts, legislation, committees, hearings, public meetings, and the work of the council.

Residents can identify their district and representative, explore a bill or hearing, and find official participation and contact information. The site is useful for following the city's legislative process and distinguishing council activity from the services administered by mayoral agencies. Individual legislation and meeting resources provide the relevant official record.
