NYC Housing Preservation and Development

NYC Housing Preservation and Development works on the city's housing conditions, preservation, and affordable-housing programs. Its website provides information for tenants, property owners, developers, and others dealing with relevant housing matters.

Users can locate official guidance about housing maintenance, complaints, programs, and supported applications or records. Eligibility and the responsible system depend on the actual program. The department's resources should be distinguished from NYCHA public housing and from state or private housing services.
