Chicago Police Department

The Chicago Police Department's official website provides department information, local district resources, public data, safety material, and supported reporting guidance. Users can find the unit or service relevant to a nonemergency need.

The incident and location determine the appropriate response and reporting process. A public webpage or online report is not emergency dispatch. Chicago Police responsibilities are distinct from the Cook County sheriff, state police, and other municipal or federal authorities.
