Chicago Department of Housing

Chicago's Department of Housing provides information about housing policy, affordable-housing development, and programs supporting residents and neighborhoods. Its website includes resources for applicants, property owners, developers, and community participants.

Each program has its own eligibility, provider, application process, and availability. A general program page does not establish that funding or a place is currently available. The department's role is different from the Chicago Housing Authority and from every private or state-administered housing service.
