789 USA · Effective and last updated
This notice explains privacy practices for the 789 USA directory at us.789.work. It covers this site's pages and related inquiries sent to the contact email below. Linked websites, search engines, app stores and other country editions have their own practices.
1. Information & purposes
You can browse the current directory without a 789 USA account. These pages do not provide account registration, payments, public comments, user uploads or a newsletter subscription.
- Browser preferences: your selected theme and search engine are saved in your browser so that your choices continue on later visits. They are not an account or a cross-device profile.
- Technical requests: requesting a page, stylesheet, script, icon or screenshot necessarily sends information to the hosting or delivery system. This can include an IP address, requested URL and query string, time, browser or device information, and referrer information where the browser sends it. Hosting and delivery systems may use technical records to deliver content, troubleshoot failures and prevent abuse.
- Inquiries and rights reports: if you email us, we receive the sender and reply details, message, attachments and associated email metadata you provide. We use them to respond, investigate the issue, handle rights requests and maintain necessary records.
Do not put passwords, Social Security numbers, payment details, medical information or other sensitive personal information in search terms or an initial inquiry. We do not need those details to help you find a website.
2. Browser storage & choices
The current directory code uses these preference entries in localStorage:
789-us-theme— your light or dark theme choice.789-us-search-engine— your selected Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo or Site search option.
These entries normally remain until you or your browser clear site data. You can change the theme in the header, choose another engine, or use Reset in the web-search box to clear that input and restore Google. Reset does not erase browser history, technical records or your theme preference. To remove saved preferences, clear this site's storage in your browser settings. Blocking storage still permits browsing, although choices may not persist.
The directory page code does not set advertising or analytics cookies. That does not mean hosting or security infrastructure can never use cookies; technical handling by those services is separate from the two browser preferences described above.
3. Searches & external services
Site search: matching directory entries runs in your browser against the site's search catalog. A search term can appear in a URL such as search.html?q=.... Opening or requesting that URL sends the URL, including its query, to the hosting or delivery system; it may also remain in browser history. Editing a query in an already loaded page can update the displayed URL without a new page request. Do not assume that a term in an address is private.
Web search: submitting the web-search form sends the term directly to your chosen external search engine. That provider receives the request and applies its own policy: Google, Bing / Microsoft, Yahoo, or DuckDuckGo. Selecting an engine alone does not submit a search.
Other links and shared resources: visiting a listed website or a U.S. App Store page creates a request to that provider. Read its notices before giving it information. Site images and code are served from 789.work domains, including shared resources on the main domain. Those requests still disclose technical request information to the receiving infrastructure.
4. Tracking & privacy signals
The current directory page code does not include third-party behavioral advertising, advertising pixels, fingerprinting or visitor analytics, and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third-party destinations can collect information when you visit them or submit a web search; their practices are outside this notice.
Do Not Track: the page code does not change its behavior in response to a browser's DNT signal; the same absence of advertising tracking applies with or without it. DNT is distinct from Global Privacy Control (GPC).
GPC and other recognized opt-out signals: the current directory has no page-level sale or cross-context advertising feature to switch off. No consent or opt-in is inferred from your browsing or silence. Where applicable law requires an opt-out signal to be honored, it must be respected; this notice does not treat ordinary technical delivery as permission to begin advertising tracking.
5. Recipients, retention & security
Hosting, content-delivery, security and email services may process the information needed to perform their functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by valid legal process, or as reasonably necessary to investigate a rights or security issue and protect lawful interests. We do not publish correspondence merely because you submit a report. Relevant claim details may need to be shared with an affected party or adviser to resolve it, subject to applicable law and appropriate limits.
Preference retention follows your browser controls. Technical-record retention depends on the hosting or delivery service's settings and applicable requirements. Correspondence is kept only as reasonably needed to handle the matter, maintain necessary records or comply with legal obligations; a dispute or legal preservation duty may require longer retention. This notice does not promise that server logs are absent or that every record is deleted after a fixed number of days.
The directory's U.S. focus does not mean all processing takes place in the United States. Hosting, delivery and email infrastructure may operate in other locations. Contact us about a particular processing or retention question.
No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. A security limitation does not remove any protection, notification or other duty required by applicable law.
6. Your privacy requests
Use this contact email with the subject “789 USA privacy request”. Describe your request, the relevant page or correspondence and a way to reply. You do not need to create an account.
Depending on your residence, the information involved and whether the relevant law applies to this service, you may have rights to know or access personal information, obtain a copy, correct it, request deletion, opt out of specified processing, or appeal a decision. California residents' rights can include limits on certain uses of sensitive information and protection against discrimination for exercising CCPA rights. These rights have statutory scope, exceptions and verification requirements; this notice does not limit them.
We will consider requests under applicable law and respond within any required period. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity or an authorized agent's authority. Do not send a government ID in an initial email. If a request is denied, you may reply with “Privacy appeal” and the reason you seek reconsideration; any appeal and complaint rights under applicable law remain available. You may also contact the responsible state attorney general or privacy regulator.
For California guidance, see the California Privacy Protection Agency's current law and regulations. The availability of this contact channel is not a representation that every state privacy statute applies to every visit.
7. Children & changes
This is a general-audience directory, rather than a service designed to collect personal information from children under 13. We do not ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided it to us, contact the privacy address so that we can investigate and take the action required by applicable law. A parent can request deletion of relevant correspondence. This statement does not replace duties arising under COPPA and the FTC's rule when they apply.
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If a material change requires an additional notice, choice or consent under applicable law, that requirement still applies. A later revision does not retroactively authorize a materially different use of information.
