Data.gov

Data.gov is a catalog for discovering open data published by U.S. government organizations and participating publishers. Its search and navigation tools connect users with dataset descriptions and the original sources that provide the data.

Researchers, developers, and other visitors can search for a subject, examine a dataset's metadata, and follow its resource links. The catalog is useful for discovering information distributed across agencies. The dataset's own publisher and documentation provide the context for its coverage, update schedule, format, and use.
