Los Angeles Community Investment Department

The Los Angeles Community Investment Department (CID) coordinates city services for families, young people, older adults, job seekers, workers, and businesses. It unifies the former Community Investment for Families, Economic and Workforce Development, Youth Development, and Aging departments. Official predecessor notices date the consolidation to July 1, 2026.

The website links to FamilySource, WorkSource, YouthSource, and BusinessSource centers, alongside multipurpose senior centers. Visitors can explore child care and caregiver resources, job-loss assistance, business support, and nutrition or transportation information for older adults. Department news, plans, public records requests, and contact routes provide further information. Residents and businesses should check the relevant program's service area, participation conditions, and application instructions when seeking assistance.
